Lisa gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday at 4:50 pm.  Quinlan Doyle weighed in at 8 pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.  He's doing great, Lisa is doing great.  I'm doing excellent.....

And I subscribe to an on-line newsletter for the health industry that always includes a daily quote.  On the day Quin (we're assuming that's going to be his name) was born the quote came from someone I have great admiration for.  Albert Einstein said "setting an example is not the main means of influencing another, it is the only means." 

That's a powerful statement for me to have to read on the day my boy is born.  And I feel that it transcends life as we know it.  Who I am being in my life is going to be the example that I set for my son.  What I do with my life will be the example I set for my son.  And I'll wrap up this brief entry by saying that now of all times I'm reminded that This is Not a Practice Life.
